The Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) is the most prestigious and well-recognised examination system in Australia, with the purpose of providing graded assessments of the achievements of music students and for students of speech and drama. AMEB standards are quoted as entry level requirements to university programs, courses of higher study and Australian Performance equivalents. AMEB qualifications are recognised nationally and internationally by such prestigious institutions as Cambridge University Overseas Examination Board. In our studio, students will be provided with high quality lessons in preparation for practical exams for AMEB and stage performance for music festivals and concerts. AMEB PREPARATION OUTLINE: Assess the student’s musical skills. Choose a correct examination program based on student’s musical skills and level. Choose an appropriate repertoire from AMEB 2026 Manual of Syllabuses. Practice technical work such as the various scales, arpeggios, chords and exercises. Practice phrases, dynamic signatures and musical terms. Analyse compositions in detail. Learn examination pieces. Review marking guidelines and examination techniques. Register student for AMEB Exam. Rehearse before examination date. (Optional choice) Submitting a Video Performance for Practical AMEB Exam.
